Located on the first floor, Heart Hospital of Austin's electrophysiology lab (EP lab) includes highly advanced equipment designed to diagnose and treat abnormal heart rhythms. 

Our EP lab features Stereotaxis™ technology, a magnetically navigated catheter system that allows for faster procedure times and reduces patient exposure to X-rays.

Some of the services performed in the electrophysiology labs are:

• AICD (Automatic Implantable Cardiodefibrillators)
• EP Studies - electrophysiology, including ablation (surgical removal)
• Temporary and permanent pacemakers
